I enjoy the recreation of logotypes, good and bad.

This sign makes me giggle. Austinites also enjoy the sign – it has won the Austin Chronicle’s Best Storefront/Sign award several times.

DR. BLANK was replaced by DR. JEFFREY GLEIBERMAN – that detail was not retouched. If I could add more designer labels, I would. I will revisit this spot during the day for a better shot.

I love this sign for its numerous typefaces (and slogans!). I think it belongs on the other side of the river (on South Congress Ave.) instead of its place in downtown Austin where it’s dwarfed by newer, shinier buildings.
